SPARKLING:

SÉROL 'TURBULLENT' Pétillant Naturel Rosé * Loire Valley, FR
This polycultural family property dates back to the 17th century, and has been passed from generation to generation. When Stéphane Sérol took over in 1996, the domaine totalled 12 hectares. Adjacent to the Côte Roannaise, he cleared new plots on the finest hillsides to replant. With his wife, Carine, they converted the domaine to organic and then to biodynamic viticulture, with the aim of preserving and honoring the beauty of their terroirs.

Grapes - 100% Gamay Noir

Flavors - The nose is immediate and inviting with aromas of rose petals, cinnamon, strawberry & brioche. A kiss of residual sugar on the palate gives the wine its weight and body, forever balanced by refreshingly high acidity.

Serving - Perfect to start or end your BBQ. Enjoy with a nice salty triple creme cheese to start, or a summer berry tart to finish.

Album Pairing - Duran Duran ‘Seven and the Ragged Tiger' - 1983 * What is better than pure fun? Turbullent is pure fun. So is early Duran Duran. Enjoy both on a sunny day and while the time away.

WHITE:

CANTINA MORONE 'MARIposa' Fiano 2022 * Columbia Gorge, WA/OR
Cantina Morone is small certified-organic (practicing biodynamic) family farm run by siblings Eleanora and Giovanni. While the azienda was officially incorporated only in 2011, the vineyards have been farmed by the family for generations. Today, Eleanora and Giovanni concentrate on grapes indigenous to this corner of Campania: Falanghina, Fiano, Piedirosso and Barbera del Sannio and produce wine in small quantities.

Grape - 100% Fiano

Flavors - Aromas of fresh flowers and citrus, joined on the palate by herbaceous and mineral undertones.

Serving - This is perfect aside a summer succotash. Grill that corn, shell those lima beans, and toss in whatever other fresh vegetables you’d like. Sheep’s milk ricotta wouldn’t hurt either.

Album Pairing - BENNY GOODMAN ‘Pure Gold’ - Compilation released in 1975 * Don’t be fooled, these songs come from a much earlier time. A highlight track: ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’ was released in 1936. But this album will take you back to a delicately composed time to enjoy with a delicately composed wine.

ORANGE:

DHARMA 'Orange' 2021 * Willamette Valley, OR
Dharma is all about the quintessential essence of natural winemaking made using the most natural processes possible. Shocking, we know, given our ethos. The grapes are organically farmed using traditional methods dating back 200 years
. The winery is organically certified and all grapes are delivered to the tanks via gravity and fermented with native yeast.

Grape - 80% Pedro Giménez, 20% Moscatel

Flavors - Notes of honeyed melon, citrus, and white flowers, this wine boasts impressive length and a broad, rich mouthfeel. A slightly dry finish from the firm tannins brings it all back together.

Serving - This right here is all about your grilled peaches and apricots. Throw some mascarpone and fresh thyme in the mix, maybe some heirloom tomatoes. Then sit back and relax!

Album Pairing - HANDSOME BOY MODELING SCHOOL ‘So…How’s Your Girl’ - 1999 * This beautiful opus of an album is filled with rich beats and playful lyrics that just speaks to a wine that is simultaneously rich and playful. And both will keep you filled with joy and a hint of thoughtfulness.

RED:

LA FIORITA Brunello di Montalcino 2019 * Tuscany, IT ~ Club Exclusive
From its foundation in the early nineties, La Fiorita has always sought to perfect the longevity and aromatic complexity of its Brunello to illustrate the magical harmony between the diverse terroirs, climate and Sangiovese grape - the star of the Montalcino sub-region. Arriving in 2011, Natalie Oliveros has moved the Estate to an organic certification, acquired additional vineyards, as well as the proper tools to vinify and age her Brunello..

Grape - 100% Sangiovese

Flavors - A savory wine with notes of perfectly ripened red fruits alongside a bouquet of dried rosemary and crushed violets.

Serving - Grilled meat wine alert! Please enjoy with any fired roasted meat of your choice during BBQ season.

Album Pairing - LOU RAWLS ‘Live!’ - 1966 * This classic album and this classic voice are exactly what you want to enjoy with a historied wine like Brunello di Montalcino. Take a moment and transport yourself to that old-school jazz club where you ordered that perfect steak.
